![]() I'm not sure why they put a tub out there, unless you are an exhibitionist. Not sure why that would be, but just a minor inconvenience, since there were usually carts in the hallway to grab what you needed. Some days we would not receive any wash cloths, while the next day we would receive several, but no hand towels. First issue was that the towel replacement was very spotty. I only had two complaints about the room and both were very minor. For those of you that have been to Excellence, there are no "adults only" channels (which is good or bad depending upon your personal preference). Television received about 25 (or so) channels, with about 1/3 of them in Spanish only. Nice sized bathroom with all the extras you need, even if you forgot something such as toothbrush or shaving kit. The shower is very large with a rain shower head and separate sprayer. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. It was beautiful inside, with very nice decor. Rooms: The rooms at Unico are fairly standard as far as all-inclusive resorts go (we have never had a "bad" room at any resort). We attended Unico with 26 people for my sister-in-laws wedding. The next best we have attended was Excellence Playa Mujeres (which is a very close second), so I will use that as a frame of reference for this review. That's not to say there are not issues/improvements we would love to see done, but regardless is an awesome resort. Let me start by saying that this is our 4th all-inclusive resort and it gets our vote as the best we have attended (mainly because of the food, which is very important for a 7 day stay). Some days we would not receive any wash cloths. ![]() The rooms at Unico are fairly standard as far as all-inclusive resorts go (we have never had a "bad" room at any resort).
